Agree. I have all 4x my kids in the kitchen and teach them how to cook. It’s a life skill you will truly use your entire life. Anytime you can take fresh ingredients and make a meal, you’re 100% better off than any pre-made processed crap you’ll buy.

And I especially make it a point to my boys, if you learn to cook, and cook well, you’re already 1 BIG step ahead of the pack when it comes to impressing a girl. It sets you apart!

My wife got a series of phone calls from our youngest grandson.

He is a freshman this year at a good college and is sharing a home with 3 other guys.

They decided to cook a good afternoon meal yesterday using their various skills.

He said that he would make his Grandmother’s Ceasar salad with her homemade croutons and dressing.

Her last phone call yesterday was, “Your Ceasar salad was a big hit. There was nothing left from your recipe that feeds 8-10!”

She was smiling the rest of the day and kinda walking on air.:)

I have been doing a low-carb since January. It seems that canned veggies have additives [especially sodium], whereas frozen veggies have none. I steam/stir-fry the frozen mixed veggies. Even the so-called healthy frozen dinners have all kinds of additives.
