Hart was driving a souped-up version of a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, a classic two-door muscle car, when the car crashed through a fence on Malibu Hills' Mulholland Highway,
Hart was reportedly trapped under the crushed roof of the vehicle, according to TMZ. If the vehicle was equipped with a roll cage, the roof likely wouldn't have been crushed in such a manner, and Hart would've been better held in place by a five-point harness.
TMZ reached out to Speedkore, but the company had no comment.

One morning I answered the phone, a voice says "IT WORKED GREAT". ???
A roll cage we had installed on his early Bronco did its job!!!
A semi pushed him off the tollway and up the embankment , and it rolled back down. The roof was crushed but they walked away from it.
Dumb author (millennial?)
it was a 1970’s car! of course it did!!
duhhhhhh..........
A lot of folks including myself like classic cars. But it is important to bear in mind that cars from the land of long ago were generally less safe than modern cars. And the older the car, the more that is true. I’ve owned a couple classics, and never used them for every day driving.
Millennial Moron
Sounds to me as though Kevin Hart should have limited his motoring activities to a Prius.
Rollcages are illegal in street cars in some States because they increase the chance of head injury if you’re not wearing a helmet...
The faggot generation. I gotta booboo so ban old cars.
banning classic cars is on the Left’s to do list too.
it’s for the children!
I was gonna say that’s not nice and he seems like a good guy from what I know.
but he left the scene of the accident with his security (likely causing more damage to his spine) and someone only contacted 911 90 minutes later when he was obviously incoherent and in bad shape.
Even though he wasn’t driving, that’s a crime and a plain old lousy thing to do.
Screw him.
It LOOKED like a 70s car. It was a 700 hp Hellcat drivetrain and modern interior.
Havent seen if it had current safety features.
Life is dangerous.
We all have to pick our own level of risk. It’s called freedom!
A 1970s car did not have 2019 safety equipment. It probably ran on real gasoline too.
There are reasons these safety features came to be installed for some good reasons.
Maybe he didn’t realized that “Nash Bridges” was a cop drama, and not a reality show, and he couldn’t go toolin’ around in a 1970 ‘Cuda like Don Johnson?
If most cars were equipped with roll cages then there might be fewer fatal crashes. Same crashes just fewer fatal. Maybe more crashes because assclowns will do the “Hold my beer while I roll this baby?” routine? Ergo-—govt mandated roll cages. See how easy that was?
“Maybe more crashes because assclowns will do the Hold my beer while I roll this baby? routine? Ergo-govt mandated roll cages. See how easy that was?”
For some reason, human nature I guess, the more safety features on vehicles the less personal responsibility people seem to take when driving.
Mandate roll cages and the mayhem will increase.
It doesn’t help that younger generations have been pampered and not held to account for their actions leading to more irresponsible behavior.
Each generation seems to be less mature, on average, than the previous generation.
“crashed through...”
That was the real problem.
I don’t know. I can be pretty childish at times. :-)
Ride a bus if you can’t drive properly.
