We are in our late 50’s so all of our friends kids are at the age they are getting married. Been to many marriages last few years

We noticed without exception nearly all are college educated and upper middle class or wealthy.

We have plenty of white and blue collar friends but rarely go to a blue collar wedding. I listened to Jordan Petersens comments about marriage and I was floored. Exactly what we have been seeing. White collar and wealthy are the only ones getting married.

Women will never marry down.

My wife is in the horse hobby which is 99% female. All the young gals are educated, most attractive, fit, make lots of money but they are all single. They refuse to marry down. So their spouse become their horse.

There are plenty of white ones, but more and more they are ASIAN.

That's because first blacks shunned marriage, now more whites do. And Asians, even lower middle-class ones, still do get married as do almost all weathy ones.

Playing those instruments or getting carted to ice-skating practice, it's NOT like 2-on-2 pickup at the back-alley basketball hoop, it's requires HEAVY parental involvement.

So no blacks and fewer honkies, now. A blind guess is that in 20 years it will be over 90% asian.

When you refer to marrying down - financially?

Lately, the only weddings I’ve been going to are ones where the women are older (sometimes a lot older) than the men.
Actually last one I went to was full blown blue collar. Woman is an HR Rep ($60kish) and her groom was a newly deputized Police Officer ($30kish? not sure).

This is an interesting topic to me because it shows how decrepit our society has become. Single people and people who never marry tend to die much younger than married couples. There is a reason for that.

women who want to marry up? Go to your local airport and start flying lessons. Every pilot I know is “up” and a lot of them are single....just saying.

When there are no societal constraints women will compete for the most attractive men (alphas--strong social skills and physical appearance) but the alphas have so many women competing for them they have no need or desire to marry.

Women's refusal to "marry down" is not just financial.

These women do not want to have sex with or marry betas (average looking guys with minimal social skills) who may have some financial resources--until the women "hit the wall" and are no longer fit and attractive.

In the old days women did not expect to marry very attractive guys. They were trained by peer pressure (everyone else is getting married now, I need to get married too, to whoever is interested in me) to marry average guys from their neighborhood or social group. My mother once confided in me: "I would never marry a very good looking guy because I knew other women would steal him from me."
