Eat meat and get a heart attack.
Don’t eat meat and have a stroke.
Decisions, decisions.
You can get another heart. You can’t get another brain.
This vegan and non-vegan discussion is worthless.
Unless you divide this up and note folks who eat purely beef-products (no pork), or note folks who are primarily turkey/chicken folks, or note folks who eat meat three times a day but also eat seven helpings of fruit/vegetables throughout the day....these discussions go nowhere.
My grandfather lived to be 100 years old, consuming a fair amount of fatty pork throughout his life, but also drank a bottle of cherry liquor throughout each week. Added to his passion items...apple pie, apple sauce, and apple pudding.

Follow fads, be sick.

Read somewhere vegans have little wee wees...
You mean Steve Jobs could have lived?
Don’t wear a motorcycle helmet and become an organ donor.
Wear a motorcycle helmet and become a quadriplegic.
Decisions, decisions.

I do know a couple vegans who quietly go about their business without a massive chip on their shoulders. I even try to include a couple dishes they can eat when I cook for church functions. And they’re grateful for the consideration. But those types seem to be the exception.
They may have claimed it was healthier, but really it is about a moral equivalence of humans and lower animals.
It may not be the veganism itself, it’s the physical stress involved in telling everybody on earth that they’re vegan. Exhausting!
