The deputy in the recorded brawl on Cabazon Court, Meagan Forsberg... responded to a home around 8:30 a.m. after a woman called law enforcement repeatedly saying "My God, oh my God," followed with "Send the police," Sgt. Jeff Allison said.
Forsberg found 21-year-old Ari Young outside the home, and he became combative with her.
Cellphone video shot from within a home on Cabazon Court begins as the man identified as Young is slugging Forsberg in the head. As Young forces Forsberg to the ground, a female bystander can be seen nearby.
Young struggles with the deputy on the ground and manages to discharge one bullet there before taking control of weapon. He then stands up with the gun in his hands, takes aim and fires at the deputy.
The shot is fired just as additional deputies are arriving on scene, and Young walks toward them with his hands up.
Deputies can be heard ordering him to drop the gun and opening fire. The Sheriff's Department says Young refused to drop the weapon.
Around a dozen shots are heard before the video cuts off.

These are supposedly trained deputies.
Tell me again why you can only have a 10 round magazine in CA.
It’s a miracle no innocent by-standers were hurt, or killed by this Keystone Cops event. The perp should have been taken out by a qualified badge holder.
A lot of training needs to take place.
Cops seem to do better on small targets, like dogs.

Naaa...This is CA. They don’t want, or even like, cops there anymore.
They have recently passed a law there where the cops can’t shoot bad guys anymore without some serious repercussions.
Or homeowners where the cops get the wrong address to raid.
This officer needs to go find another line of work, for her own good and for the safety of the community she purports to protect.
Could be she’ll put in for a disability pension?
It’ll be a small price to pay for sheer incompetence and inability in the face of life-and-death situations.

The deputy who was disarmed is a woman.
