Tramadol gave me horrid headaches but did nothing for the knee. Tried everything under the sun and nothing has helped. I KNOW it’s a torn meniscus or something along that line but the specialists poo poo it off as arthritis. Funny, I don’t think it’s arthritis when you’re fine and suddenly your knee snaps and you’re in constant pain. The knee cap did a free floating thing for 8-9 years until I finally did some muscle tightening on my own and it not pretty much stays in one place but it slips out every so often. But that hasn’t reduced the pain. You can see exactly where the injury is because there’s a constant bruise and little broken blood vessels.
Ouch. Tramadol is one of those funny CDS drugs that has a wide range of effects, non-effects, and side effects on people. I’m disabled to the point where my doctor wants me to use a walker around the house, or a cane if I go out. I’ve fallen about four times in the last year, and twice I’ve had to go to the radiologist to determine what I fractured, or if it’s a muscle tear. My primary doctor is very gun shy about perscribing anything like hydrocodone or Dilaudid. Once he only gave me a script for Valium as a muscle relaxant after I fell four feet off the porch and landed flat on my back. Tramadol has a somewhat working effect on me, so I will pinch a couple of my wife’s when necessary.
