A new book comparing Melania Trump and Michelle Obama has brought out predictable slaps against the current first lady from bullies who seek to attack the president through his family.
Pitting two women against each other just never gets old, does it?
“Melania & Michelle: First Ladies in a New Era,” by Tammy R. Vigil, is presented as a mere bipartisan assessment of the public images of both women. But it thinly veils its criticism of one and its admiration of the other. No prizes for guessing who’s who.
Vigil, a Boston academic, notes that Melania “ranks among the least liked of all modern first ladies, [and her] professional life prepared her to serve more as a visual adornment.”
The afterword belatedly acknowledges that “pitting the two women against one another is a troublesome (though common) practice.”
But, hey, if it damages the Trumps, go for it.

I don’t think I’ve seen a single issue yet with Melania’s image.
I’ve never seen anything more disgustingly hateful in my life. It’s one thing to hate Trump. Politics is a tough business. But I can’t think of a single thing that anyone could hate about Melania.
I hope she’s tough enough to bear this level of spite.

Reminds me of reading how hatred out of jealousy or for no reason can harm ones mental and physical health. Plus, these haters make their own lives miserable by wallowing in their hysterical hatred.

Well their hatred is driving more and more around the bend every day.
I am convinced it is us they truly hate, and they only hate Trump because he represents us, and really does represent us- not just political promises soon forgotten to join the uniparty. None of them had a problem with Trump until he ran for president as a conservative.
I think they knew him well enough to know he would do his very best to keep his promises. That is why they came out swinging from the start.

Every R first lady gets grief, but the snubbing of Melania by the Fashion Media is one of the worst things I’ve ever seen. Used to love to pour over the pages of Vogue, etc. with my mother and grandmother.
That stuff is all dead now. I think it’s a shame.

Incredible to me that Anna Wintour of Vogue, when asked about Melania, instead answered about how wonderful big Mike’s style is.
We have tons of photos of MO looking ridiculous - to the point of it being embarrassing (including the bulge). AW of course knows that but can’t bring herself to be truthful. I no longer buy Vogue - refuse to give them my money.
Melania is exquisite in every way - I sure hope she ignores the jealous idiots.
