Agree, very risky to replace carbs with protein. But since we’re not talking high protein here, not really relevant to this thread.

But still good advice - replace carbs with low fat meats and fish (only), rather than high fat foods, you’re not doing yourself any favors, to say the least. So it is important to keep track of what you’re eating!

Grass-Finished meats also, if you can, get your meat from a butcher who gets their beef from local farms, there are much more Omega 3s in grass-finished beef. And take Omega 3 supplements.

But we are talking about high fat, and that's the cause of metabolic acidosis that is a known cause of chronic kidney disease.
