“Right out” is a commonly used phrase, meaning not possible, or not to be considered.

I was an English major in college a million years ago, and also a certified Grammar Nazi.

That said, I've never once heard the phrase "Right out." Is that a UK or Australian thing or something?

It’s a UK thing, but hardly rare or obscure.
