Im sure this post wont stay up long But as a born-again evangelical I no longer feel comfortable on this site. It has become openly and aggressively pro Catholic. Catholicism is heresy.
Thank you Jim for putting so much effort into this clearinghouse of ideas But the bombardment of papers nonsense can a longer be tolerated by me.
God bless all who proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord. God bless America
RF?
Sorry, that’s one lame opus. I will give you a C for effort, but that’s it.
From your past posts, I’ve always felt you were undercover troll. Remeber when one of your outrageous posts got FR mention in the Charlotte Observer? You know, when you called out Trump claiming he took the Lord’s name in vain at a rally?
Just saying.
???
I'm a Catholic. You must be reading some other board called "Freerepublic", and just posted to this one by mistake. I can point you to an actual pro-Catholic board if you like.
Catholicism is heresy.
Right back atcha, but ... then what? Now that we've called each other heretics, we've pretty much made it clear that we have nothing to say to each other and nothing to learn from each other.
Maybe you'd be happier in a country with a Protestant state church, where Catholics have to shut up or go to prison?
(b) We do read our Bibles, but apparently we aren't allowed to read our Bibles and come up with conclusions different from yours.
I think you should list all of the stereotypes you have about different racial, ethnic, and religious groups. It would make for amusing reading.
Do you think he is blasphemous for not being catholic?
I don't know. I'm just asking.
The irony in your post. This is one of the real, special places for being able to exchange ideas about a lot of things. I’m former Catholic and now a Baptist, but a Christian first.
Why come out and say what you did? I’m not seeing what you’re seeing, and in fact, the opposite. Pope Francis has created a schism. I pray for the Catholic Church. You can or not.
In any event, let the Catholics be Catholics. Your post amounts to virtue signaling in my book.
how? i went to my preferences and there is no option for this at this time.
So, you’re trying to tell me the church which has murdered millions of Christians is the one true church and me being a born again Christian is wrong? I do not see the logic there.
As long as you're not paying money to support the "Marxist interloper"
A bit over a hundred year ago in numerous US cities Protestants were burning the homes of Catholics, Catholic churches, Catholic convents, Catholic orphanages, Catholic monasteries, and hanging Catholics from lamp posts.
Apparently quite a few Protestants look back on that as, "the good old days".
Having abandoned Logos, of course you don't see the logic or the Truth.
I wholeheartedly agree, as a Protestant who sometimes sees Catholic posts, as an old earth creationist who sometimes sees young earth posts.
But since football season has started I could probably do without posts from Vols fans. :)
Any excuse to leave is sufficient. There once was a sometimes Freeper who quit to make soup. it really does not matter why you leave. Just post your silly opus and depart from us.
The way history should be read is to look at the present use the past as an examples for the present. The reason the church killed innocent people was because of their corruption within the church in the past.
What our distant grandfathers did we can't change. We can only change the present.
In the past good people looked the other way as corruption went wild. Today we have a pope that is obviously corrupted.
Evil can only exist if good people do nothing.
You think this guy was just a troll here to cause trouble?
Sorry.
RF = Religion Forum
Is that what it would be if this were a Catholic country?
Because your post sure sounded like a lot of projecting to me.
I never read anything any where on FR that indicated a non-Catholic would even think of imposing that on Catholics.
OTOH, there have been more than one Catholic who have openly wished for a return to the Inquisition.
I did not grow up Catholic, I’m a convert. You two taught me something new :)
