A thousand bucks with zero welfare is a big savings in the long run. Heck just what we spend on housing in section 8 would equal big savings.

If your post was an endorsement of Yang, I’ll let someone else try to explain why replacing one system of thievery with another system of thievery is not a good solution.

It would never happen that way. The thousand bucks would start up immediately, and the welfare would continue with the promise of an eventual phase-out. But the phase-out would never happen.

It would be sort of like Reagan's 1986 amnesty which was sold on the promise of Congressional action to secure the border. We have all seen how well THAT turned out.

And by the way, Yang has stated that the money would only be available to citizens. By today's standards, that's racist, so the money handout would have to go to illegals as well.
