Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

The story by Axios that President Trump wanted to blow up large hurricanes with nuclear weapons prior to reaching shore is ridiculous. I never said this. Just more FAKE NEWS!

Not as dumb as it sounds. NASA studies this at one point

For at least a decade, there’s been this idea that if you pumped enough ‘dense’ gas (of an unknown type)....that it would rapidly slow down the front. So far, it’s just this idea, and no one can say what type or if the idea could be made to work. Even if you made it work....there would be arguments over when to use. I suspect that the President has been reading over the material and just asked if you could ‘bomb’ it...avoiding the word ‘nuke-it’.

Except for the fallout it might be a great idea, not.

I remember reeading about it some years ago.

But of course it MUST have been Trump even back then, proposing it to save his Atlantic City holdings from future storms.

I hope the President doesn’t wander down to the White House kitchen and ask them to ‘nuke’ a sandwich in the microwave for him. Some anonymous source will have to report it.

Sometimes we have to ‘nuke’ the weeds in the soybean field, we ‘nuke’ the infestation of ants in the flower bed, and once in a while in the bathroom a nuclear bomb goes off.

I knew that was nonsense the minute I read it.

As soon as the media reports some unnamed source saying ANYTHING about President Trump you know the “unnamed source” is bogus.

Maybe he was talking about nuking Puerto Rico next hurricane instead of sending billions of dollars in aid there just to sit and rot on the loading docks.

However, it has been reported that Trump is planning to ‘bomb’ NYT, Washington Post, CNN, and MSNBC offices in order to carterize ‘stupid cells’ in the US...//sarc//

Just use the HAARP system. Apparently that was supposed to control the weather. </sarcasm>

When I was a little kid at school they showed us an educational film about the weather and all things relating to it. It contained a futuristic scene where there were people in a control room with their spiffy military coveralls and the girls were very young and pretty. They were all tense as the man in charge pressed a button which ignited a missile that headed out over a huge hurricane and then exploded. The camera then again showed the control room where everyone was breathing a sigh of relief — the threatening hurricane had been stopped.

First things first - it turns out it was a private conversation someone overheard and not a serious proposal - unless one considers a private conversation question as being a serious proposal.

Actually in the early 70s NASA Ames aresearch Center was running various tornado/cyclone simulations in wind tunnels to see what it would take to dissipate them....energy requirements were staggering
