Incandescent light bulbs may be fading away, killed off slowly by fluorescents and LEDs, but there's one old-fashioned bulb that refuses to go out. In fact, it's been going for more than a century.
The world's longest-burning light bulb has been shining since 1901, when it was first turned on in Livermore, Calif.

Never liked CFL bulbs - I only have one left - when it goes it gets replaced with LED.
I love the LEDs - they are bright and use less power and don’t throw heat. I can put a 100 watt equivalent LED into a fixture that will only take a 75 watt incandescent. I have had one (store brand) LED burn out prematurely, but the rest of them have been soldiering on for years now.
