The Colts' odds of winning the Super Bowl this season plummeted at sportsbooks after quarterback Andrew Luck announced his retirement on Saturday night. PointsBet moved Indianapolis's Super Bowl odds from 12/1 to 50/1, while the Colts' win total shifted from 10 to six. Additionally, PointsBet moved the Colts from favorites to win the AFC South to the worst odds to finish first in the division. The Colts' +600 division odds are behind the Texans at +140, Jaguars at +225 and Titans at +325.

Other than the Texans, that is one sorry division. Although I’m curious to see how Nick Foles fares as the Number 1 in Jacksonville....

You retire at the end of a season or in off-season to give your team time to make whatever adjustments they can. Doing it now is entirely unprofessional. Its a cheap shot to all of Lucks teammates. He's been dealing with his latest injury - which the team has been deliberately cagey about - since April. I guess he's just had enough.

Good for him, his body will thank him for it, later. He’s set for life.

Wait for the clamor from the perpetual race agitators to bring in Kapernick as a ready and premium option - shits and giggles to follow.Kaper-dink has been out of the league for two years. And he demonstrated that he's a journeyman at best. Add the baggage that he would bring and no team is going to sign him.

Nope. Injury plagued. Missed most of the last 3 season, can’t get on the field this preseason. Life turned to suck, time to go.

He’s injury plagued. Looking like he’s not getting on the field this year anyway. This at least gives them some cap space.

As long as the team wasn’t blindsided, that’s ok.

Indy is almost as shitholish as Balt. No, Indianapolis has one of the lower crime rates and highest quality of life of any big city. That is partly because it usually elects Republican mayors.

Hes injury plagued. Partly because management was dumb enough not to give him an offensive line that protects him.
He'll probably return at some point at look to play for a better run organization like the Patriots after Brady retires.

FWIW, d, we don’t know that a personal epiphany is the reason Luck left.
What might tell the tale is knowing what Luck’s contract included and what Luck got upon leaving.
I still think there’s a good chance his teammates wanted a black guy.

Actually we do know he’s missed a bunch of time due to nagging injuries, including an almost certainly botched surgery. And we do know he’s missing more time. I think the need to inject race into a rather obviously non-race situation shows liberal thinking.

Maybe he got tired of playing in a rat-infested shithole. I don't live there, but with a Republican is a VERY clean well run city with a Republican mayor and governor...

Luck. If he asked them to put him on I.R. for the season, they’d still hafta pay him?
The only way he could take the whole year off was to retire?
