At a time when Republicans are starting to contemplate what their party will look like after Donald Trump leaves office, a rivalry has developed between the two politicians who cut markedly different profiles and signs of strain are bubbling to the surface.
The Pence team has recently asked senior Republicans for updates on Haleys outreach to donors. And with Haley embarking on a national fundraising tour and promoting a new outside political group, top Pence advisers blame her for persistent rumors that she will replace him on the Trump's ticket in 2020. Tensions flared after Haley chose not to publicly repudiate a Wall Street Journal column in June urging Trump to put her on the ticket.
Earlier this month, Haley took a swipe at Trump after his criticism of Baltimore and its black congressman, Elijah Cummings. This is so unnecessary, she wrote on Twitter, adding the eyeroll emoji. White House counselor and former Pence pollster Kellyanne Conway then fired back: THIS is so unnecessary. Trump-PENCE2020, Conway wrote of Haleys tweet.

Haley is not constitutionally eligible to run.
Margaret Thatcher wasn’t weak. Elizabeth I wasn’t weak. Catherine the Great wasn’t weak. It just depends on the woman. I agree, though, Haley would be weak.
Cruz. SCOTUS appointment 2 replace RBG. Late 2023 he takes himself off the court and runs. Should he not get the nomination he can get back on the court-still young. Outside the box wouldn’t you say?
Remember what we have been learning: The Deep State and banks decide who will be president (whether D or R doesn’t matter). Only Reagan and Trump were not “the chosen one”. So we need to find candidates that don’t fit the DS.
Ducey? No.
I’m still looking forward to POTUS Trump replacing Pence as VP in the ‘20 run.
Pence is a great guy but he’s weak and the dems will clobber him.
We need an Allen West or the like to make a strong run in ‘24.
There are always exceptions. But the rule is women are meant to be keepers of the home where they excel and are happiest (Titus 2:5). The decrepit women’s moment have taken women off the rails and into a lost and confused state.
If not Pence in 2024 I would like the opportunity to support either Bevin or DeSantis.
Nikki Nimrata Randhawa Haley, because why should Democrats have all the fun electing people only marginally connected to America.
“Don Jr.”

Yes!
I was thinking the same thing.
Don Jr. is even MORE conservative than his father, who is a great president. Don Jr. has said he likes to be in the fight.
I have no idea if he has presidential aspirations, but we’ll find out in two or three years.
Mike Pence has been a loyal VP and is a nice, decent man.
But can he win a national election on his own at the top of the ticket? I’m not sure.
The president mentioned just the other day that Mike Pence will be the VP candidate in 2020.
It would be a great victory indeed if a two-term Trump were to be succeeded by a conservative. One incredibly selfless way to help make that happen would be for Trump to resign two years and one day into his second term. That would give his Veep the great benefit of incumbency and preserve the possibility of him being elected twice. (Did not work for Ford but those were different times.)
lol
In post-America America that doesn’t matter anymore. In fact being an American native with roots going way back disqualifies you. It’s our duty to embrace the globalist suck. Onward, into the Brave New World.
Americans have become used to the sheer bravado of our POTUS, and anyone with much less would be quite the downer, at least out of the starting block.
Not too many of us are tired of WINNING WITH FLAIR yet.
“And it would be a weasel and unreasonable move to replace Pence.”
Changing VPs isn’t all that rare.
Jefferson replaced Burr with Clinton.
Madison replaced Clinton with Gerry.
Jackson replaced Calhoun with Van Buren.
Lincoln replaced Hamlin with Johnson.
Grant replaced Colfax with Wilson.
Cleveland had two, Hendricks and Adlai Stevenson
McKinley had Hobart and Teddy Roosevelt
FDR replaced Garner with Wallace, and then replaced Wallace with Truman.
Nixon had two, Agnew and Ford.
And we would have been way better off if Reagan had replaced GHW Bush with Paul Laxalt.
“Dan Crenshaw, former Navy SEAL “
No. His resume looks good, but then so did McCain’s.
Pence thinks and speaks in conservative clichés. He isn’t capable of inspiring, and I have seen no evidence he is up for the kind of brutal brawl the Dems will be dishing out every day of his 8 year term.
I like Don Jr. He has baggage, but he is a brawler like his dad, and a lot more articulate than his dad. Its early to be thinking about 2024, but I haven’t seen any mainstream politicians who can keep the ball rolling in the face of intense fire including “friendly” fire.
plus Nikki Haley was a vocal neverTrumper right up to the day Trump nominated her to the UN.
