So during WWII business could continue doing business with Japan and Germany and President Roosevelt would not have been able to stop them?

If Congress gives the President the power, then he is not a dictator for using that power.

Like it or not we are back in a “cold war” only with China this time.

Soooo... you think that having an undeclared a non-shooting “war” featuring mostly trade negotiations is sufficient for imposing war powers? Sounds like you want a despot. How would this not apply to ALL international actions?

I’m sick of having NO OPTION other than to buy cheap Chinese CRAP for just about every non-food item you can think of, just because greedy, unAmerican companies sold out the United States for slave labor in third world shitholes (like China).

So I’m with Trump - bring the work BACK to the United States, make things well, sell things here, and put the country back on top - where it was 50 years ago, before we were sold out.
