Two would-be robbers in Chicago quickly discovered over the weekend they picked the wrong woman to mess with when they attacked a Golden Gloves champion.
The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood as 26-year-old Claire Quinn was on her way to Unanimous Boxing Gym in Logan Square to train when police said two men tried to mug her.
One of the men ran off, while the other punched Quinn and attempted to take her phone, police told FOX32.
Quinn told neighborhood news outlet Block Club Chicago one of the men punched her in the head and yelled "gimme your phone, b___h," which caused her to go into "fight" mode.
“I just kept throwing my right hand to his balls,” Quinn told Block Club Chicago. “There’s no way to sugar coat that or put it nicely.”
Quinn was able to hold onto her phone and fight the man off, but not without being injured in the attack.

Boxing is a great sport and gets you into phenomenal shape. Glad she got away with her wallet and life intact. This is why I take Krav Maga wich is designed for street fighting. In Krav we develop the groin kick as one of the first defensive counter strikes. Just kick em as hard as you can in the groin. When they bend over you can get em with a knee right to the face or other possible combinations.
elbow behind the ear when they bend over from groin shot will knock em out- knee to face might not- course you could knee them then elbow them behind ear for added pleasure lol
But what about the Spock move to the shoulder? No good?
not sure what that is- I just know that a lot of mma fighter try to hit behind the ear if they can- it usually results in knockout if they hit it right and hard enough (which is why you’d wanna use elbow as it’s bony and hits with a lot of force if done right-
I assume the Spock move would be to the shoulder/neck muscle area?? not familiar with that move- I don’t do martial arts myself- only took a few months of Taekwondo many many years ago- but always been fascinated by it-
It's called a 'Brachial Stun' - you can make them lose consciousness by striking the brachial ganglia - it interrupts the blood flow to the brain and cause fainting.
Here is a good example of using one in a street fight. Watch how he fakes a block with his left hand and BAM:
Yes, although this is not taught in Krav one of the black belts in another disicpline showed us that. It was a simple Karate chop to that part of the neck but more effective than punching them in the face .

In reality she would be dead or severely injured. Chicago street thugs would take what they wanted without saying a word and she would be a statistic. Hit a true thug in the nards one time even and forget it. More fake news unless it was really in boys town.
