RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. - A North Carolina woman is facing new drug charges after she was arrested on suspicion of bringing methamphetamine into court for a hearing on previous drug charges.
Brooke Ann Kellems, 24, was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday in Randolph County on possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia charges, according to WGHP-TV.
When Kellems went through a security check point at the courthouse, WGHP reported that officials spotted a round container in the metal bowl that holds personal items as a person walks through the metal detector.
Investigators identified a substance in the container as meth.

True story at the university where I used to work. A custodian for the library was at the counter of the campus police station and was asked for her ID.
In front of the police officer she shook out her purse for the contents and a marijuana joint rolled out toward the officer.
“Is that yours?” she asked her.
“Yes.” (Ending: She got probation and was already in trouble for other infractions in town.)
My co-worker said” “I would have said certainly not. You’d better start looking for who was here a minute ago and lost that!”

Judge: I figured as much. Book her.
