Esso Club, employees were struggling to secure a tent to the ground during the storm.
Balogh started filming and was astounded when seconds later the strong winds physically swept two people off of their feet.
The winds flung a man up in the air higher than the roof of the Esso Club and threw him on the side of the building.
As the man, Samuel Foster, released the tent leg he was holding onto, he ended up hitting the gutter, followed by an abrupt landing, Balogh’s video shows.
Foster told CNN affiliate WYFF that in the moment, all he could think about was saving all the work they had put into the setup.
“It took a second to register, but then I’m, like, 20 feet in the air and all I could think about was, ‘I’ve got to land on this roof,'” Foster said.
He didn’t make it and flew into the gutter before hitting the ground.
Foster had to get stitches above his left eye and suffered several cuts and bruises.
“I’m really thankful for God for looking out for me there,” Foster said. “Esso’s been really supportive. My friends, my fraternity — I’m really thankful for all of that.”

She is very strong.
Someone should have asked him if he was a good witch or a bad witch.
It would be hard to tell the difference between an Esso club before being hit by a microburst and after being hit. It’s a dive and I love it. That being said, that is one lucky/blessed young man.

As for the flying guy, reminds me of hurricane days when we kids would take umbrellas outside & play like we were Mary Poppins.
Sometimes you could get lifted a foot off the ground & propelled a couple of feet forward.
The Esso Club is a long time establishment in Clemson. It was there when I was there in the mid-seventies. I assume it isn’t a chain.
That doesn’t look like Sally Field.

I’m east of Clemson and those storms have been nasty. Neighbors house was destroyed by a huge oak tree last night.

Putting up a tend in a wind storm? Almost as smart as flying a kite during a lightning storm... Pumping gas with your engine on while smoking...
