One Of Kavanaugh’s High School Classmates Is Suing HuffPost For ‘Fabricated’ Reporting

A former classmate of Justice Brett Kavanaugh sued HuffPost for defamation Wednesday, alleging that the liberal news site concocted a false story about their high school’s “party scene” as the Senate reviewed Christine Blasey Ford’s allegations of sexual misconduct. The lawsuit accuses HuffPost and reporter Ashley Feinberg of publishing false information and failing to contact persons she implicated in a crime in a September 2018 article about Georgetown Preparatory School, where Kavanaugh was a student when he allegedly assaulted Ford in the early 1980s. The contested article is an extended interview with an unnamed Georgetown Prep alumnus who described the school’s libertine social life while Kavanaugh was enrolled. The piece identifies the apex of Prep’s alleged debauchery as the 1984 death of David Kennedy, who overdosed on a lethal stimulant-narcotic cocktail at The Brazilian Court Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida.

The wild parties involving college students anywhere tend to occur OFF campus, a not-so-minor fact which seems to have been ignored in reporting all these stories.

These legendary orgies simply could not have occurred in dorms or Greek houses on campus, where they surely would have come to the attention of the administration.
