This happens every year in NC. Some years get more press than others.
Everyone FREAKED when this was done under obummer.
But he gave people a legitimate reason to freak.
It’s not a thread but it sure does help them get really good at taking down a militia or internal threat.

Regular occurrence in various forms, under various names in various locations in NC since the 50s. Used to be mainly in Uwharrie NF.

I’ve never heard of it.
Years ago, I was talking to a retired Army guy who’d gone through this type of training around early 70s, and he’d spent a month making his way through various counties in NC to reach a target area. He regarded as the best summer of his life.
