"Matrix 4" has officially been greenlit!
Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity while Lana Wachowski, who co-created the original trilogy, is also attached to the project.
Lana will co-write, direct and produce the film. She will be joined by writers Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell, as well as producer Grant Hill, according to Variety.
Warner Bros. Pictures Group chairman Toby Emmerich announced the news on Tuesday.

Silly movie? The Matrix is easily one of the greatest science-fiction movies of all time, and it is one of those films that truly broke a mold.
And I love the sequels.
No Speed Racer 2?

I like Keanu, too. Seems to be real down-to-earth which is rare these days in Hollywood.
I agree with the other posts, the first was amazing, the next two, while they had a few good moments, got progressively worse. I look at it two ways. On one hand, the trend says 4 will be awful. On the other, they’ve been bad, maybe they’ve learn and 4 will turn it around. I hesitate to say they could hardly get worse. Seems every time we say that about the MSM or leftists, they take it as a challenge - and sink even lower.
That looks more like Tobey Maguire to me.
I certainly hope the cast looks better than they did in 3.
Laurence Fishburne had put on so much weight that for half the movie he had his arms locked behind his back to make him look slimmer. And Carrie-Anne Moss was so pale and bony that you could see the veins in her face.
And Hugo Weaving, any moment you expected him to say “Mor-dor” with a deep voice.
Why, cause he was at a chicken joint?
Uk, uk uk uk.
Let me guess... in this version, Neo is a homosexual social justice warrior.
There’s so few actors these days that one can just be a fan of, because I can’t even think of a movie of his I saw that I didn’t enjoy, and doesn’t seem arrogant, doesn’t tell me how to live, just.. a good actor and a decent guy.
How rare.
I loved The Matrix as much as anyone, but the mold in question was already broken by Ghost in the Shell. They learned the trick of stealing ideas Japanese works and repackaging them for the US market from George Lucas most likely, who did the same with Star Wars.
This first was good. The next 2 were a giant waste of time.John Wick is also going that route.
Yeah.
No.
There are some movie series where it’s better to ignore everything after the first one. Matrix and Back to the Future are prime examples. Alien and Terminator made it through two movies, as did Star Wars.
Don't know what Lucas stole from Japan for Star Wars, but he lifted quite a bit from comic artist Jack Kirby.
Kirby created the character Dr. Doom, who was horribly scarred, and hid his face behind a mask. Darth Vader was a mash up of Doom and a character named Darkseid from the New Gods. In the New Gods, there were two kingdoms at war with each other, Apocalypse and New Genesis. The hero of New Genesis was a character named Orion, who, it was later revealed was Darkseid's son. They even had a power called the Source, which I'm pretty sure "The Force" was lifted from.
Starwars was inspired by Kurosawa’s film The Hidden Fortress, about a Samurai and two bumbling soldiers who rescue a princess from the bad guys.

Carrie-Anne Moss is sohhh hot!
Wow. There were three of those crap movies already? I had no idea. I tried to watch the first one twice, but couldnt get through it because it was so stupid. (IMHO)
Will he shapeshift into a woman this episode?
