It's been a while since I've seen a Free Republic Opinion Poll posted on the sidebar. I'd like to suggest the Sidebar Moderator host an Opinion Poll on whether or not we want our Opinion Polls back.

I liked that feature.
As I recall, (poorly perhaps), it was causing too much database contention and was dropped.
Actually the number of comments (replies) is still a feature. I would guess the number of views went away in 2006 or 2007.
And....
As an extra bonus question. Does anyone remember the Free Republic Opinion Polls?

Yes - we used to have a “Views” count.
I wish they would bring that back.
I also wish Jim would show a daily, monthly, and annual count of “unique visitors” to Free Republic.
I used to be able to find our numbers on various tracking websites, but all that data is behind pay walls now.
Does anyone know what Free Republic’s average daily visitor count is?

Sorry, I do good to remember what I had for Breakfast the other day.
However I can still remember the part numbers for most things on an MGB from 30 years ago if that helps.
My faint recollection was of a massive site crash some years ago. It was down for several days and when it returned that feature was absent.
We removed it to screw with everybodys head..Muahahahahahaaa.
