Oh, yes. If a school administrator touches my kid, you can bet there’s gonna be a lawsuit. The only exception is this. If my kid is doing something violent, and has to be restrained, then okay. Then do what you gotta do.

Yes, and if this were my son I would sue too. Markers are not meant to be ingested and evidently a large amount was placed on his skin which would absorb this. The boy could have had a bad reaction to whatever was in the marker. Very irresponsible of the school administrators. They ought to lose their jobs over this, and never be allowed near a school again.

That being said, I would have had some strong words with my son about being grown up and presenting an appearance to show that he was a successful intelligent young man and going places someday. Also, I would have done something about the haircut so that he could meet the school’s dress code. He probably considers being suspended from school a reward not a punishment.
