The United States is working to help end Venezuela’s suffering under socialism. Earlier this month, President Trump imposed an embargo on Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro’s socialist regime, and last month the House of Representatives voted to grant Temporary Protected Status to Venezuelans in the U.S. Most of those voting in favor of TPS were Democrats, and unfortunately, most Republicans opposed the measure. The GOP is looking at this issue all wrong. Of course, it’s true that Democrats are pushing for TPS to gain popularity with Venezuelan Americans frightened by their increasingly socialist rhetoric. But, for Republicans, supporting TPS for Venezuelans is really a chance to fight against the socialist movement.

How did we get “lucky” with Cubans? Cuba is still communist and all we did was give them a safety valve to export people not interested in the status quo. And, we won by flooding Florida with Cubans?! Give me a break!

“To beat socialism, we should allow the people who voted in socialism to come to the US, remain here indefinitely regardless of any wording we use, and eventually vote for socialism here.” I see flaws in this sort of reasoning.

Rather than take any of these vermin, that will never leave and pop out a few citizens while they’re here, make a deal with Columbia to help them out. It’ll be cheaper in the long run. F*ck temporary protected status for anyone.
Unfortunately, that solid R base is gradually eroding, at an increasing rate, with all the northerners moving down there. Toss in a healthy contingent of PRs and I’m think Florida is pretty much Blue on the national level. They almost elected a admitted Socialist, who should probably be in prison right now.

But I guess manhattan has about 14 times more people and it’s hard to cancel out.
I figured conservative upstate folks moving south would help even it out a little more though.
