The rainbow flag, representing LGBTQ pride, is flying in many spots in Denmark’s capital during this week’s Copenhagen Pride.
But an increased prevalence of rainbow families—families with two mothers or two fathers—is evidence of longer-term progress towards equality, campaigners say.
The number of same sex parents in Danish households has more than doubled since 2009, reaching a total of 1,465 this year, according to official bureau Statistics Denmark (DST).
“It’s pleasing to see more rainbow families and reflects the fact that more is being done to accommodate them,” said Susanne Branner Jespersen, general secretary with LGBT Denmark.
Jespersen said that a section of Denmark’s family law, Børneloven, passed in 2007, could be pointed to as a contributor to progress. …

Western civilization is kaput absent a spiritual awakening.
There is no such thing as same-sex “parents.” It is a biological, logical impossibility.
Are they calling “their children” turds?
Demark is unarguably one of the more “progressive” countries on this issue. How do you explain, then, that only 5,340 same-sex couples, in a country of 4.62 million adults, are legally registered as either partners or “spouses?”
The maths:
5,340 x 2 = 10,680 homosexual adults who “committed” to legal relationships in Denmark.
Approx. 3% of population estimated “gay” (conservatively generous): 4.62 million x 3% = 138,600 “gay” adult people in Denmark
10,680 / 138,600 = 7.7% of open homosexuals actually taking advantage of the “equality” they demanded, even many years after the policy push for what they MUST have.
Methinks it is not really about “equality.”
Maybe buying Greenland from the Danes isn’t such a great idea.
