Paris waiter 'shot dead over slow sandwich service'

A waiter near Paris has been shot dead by a customer who was reportedly angry because his sandwich was not prepared quickly enough.

Police say a murder investigation has been launched after the incident on Friday evening in the eastern suburb of Noisy-le-Grand.

The suspect fled the scene and has not been caught.

Ambulance crews tried to save the 28-year-old waiter, who had been shot in the shoulder, but he died at the scene.

the sad thing is ... it was almost certainly not the waiters fault. It’s almost always the kitchens fault.

France has very strict gun control laws.

Illegal weapons are used mostly by Islamic terrorists.

If you are “hangry”...any delay in service could get you crazy. How long was the delay? What was perp doing walking around with gun? Was it a ham sandwich? Had their been other things goin on, on a personal level between waiter and perp? The truth is out there.

This type of crime happens here too.
At least twice this year, I have read of people, both men and women, who wave or actually fire a pistol into the air if their order is wrong or taking too long. Its often an under educated, lower class type of person. The kind one suspects would call 911 if their Chicken McNuggets seem about two Nuggets short of a full load.
