Welp, I guess I can't be in the room with the Quilters and WelQers. My idea of grandparenting this afternoon was:
Dance contest with the 4 yr old. He will only dance to Classic Rock, so we got down with Jethro Tull and Uriah Heap. Then, we had a house-wide massive pillow fight, and then switched up to stuffed animal fights.
the fun was over when we saw Mommy's truck pull in the driveway, it was so funny! "Hurry up, Mimi! You take the stuffed animals and pillows and put them away and I'll turn off the music. Then we just sit on the couch and pretend you're telling me stories, otay?"
That's what I call a successful afternoon of babysitting the littlest one.
When I left, I asked Mommy "how in the hell do you do this??" Obviously, I've purged the memories of being a stay at home mom to two little hellions!
Well, I was a full-time mom of 4. Loved it. The pillow fights would have been right up my alley. When the grands come over I am all about rope swings and soccer in the back yard in the summer and sledding in the winter.
