You know it's something special when a sport dedicates an entire week to to it. Rivalry Week might as well be a national holiday for college football fans, as schools face off against each other in matchups that spur excitement, hatred and bragging rights all at once. From existing head-to-heads that are contested each year to match-ups that hold historical significance, here are the top 10 rivalries in the history of college football.

Good! I'm a Michigan State fan...
UT v tamu USED to be a great rivalry, until tamu decided they would have better luck in the SEC. Texas won the last game between the two.
Norwich v Middlebury went on for 100 years. Then Middlebury turned into pussies and went into another conference.
Ruined a perfectly good, one sided rivalry.’
That’s OK. I am sure they would be constantly triggered by seeing real men across the line.
THE game (#2)
The one that matters to me is Michigan vs Ohio State.
I would put The Game over the Iron Bowl. THE Ohio State University v. Michigan are usually playing for a title. That game also has delivered throughout the years. The Iron Bowl delivered one of the greatest moments in college football “The Kick 6” but mostly it is Auburn trying to play spoiler. I am showing my Generation X bias but I would replace The Egg Bowl with The U v. Notre Dame or better known as Catholics v. Convicts. Nobody outside the state of Mississippi cares about he Egg Bowl. There was nothing bigger than The U v. Notre Dame. Those games were about the Parvenu v. Blue Bloods, Pro Style v. Option, fatigues v. jacket and tie. Many of us Domer haters relished the Domers getting their comeuppance. One moments that still burns is when The U lost by 1 point at South Bend. The U went on to beat several conference champions and like and deserved a rematch. Well the Domers played a WVU team went undefeated off a horrible schedule. I loved the revival of the game in 2017. I felt like I was young again.
I spent a lot of time in the Carolinas.
There is one rivalry which is really fierce and yet doesn’t seem to get much press. Clemson vs. South Carolina. Lately it hasn’t been much of a game but still they seem to hate each other.
Also Kansas, Kansas State is a good one.
Roll Tide! The Iron Bowl makes me more nervous than any game Bama plays all year.
Stanford vs California should be on this list.
USC vs. UCLA, is not on par? Only intracity rivalry in the country.
What about Harvard/Yale?
There is Kansas v. Missouri; bad blood going back to Bloody Kansas.
Well it used to be until the Buckeyes starting beating U of M every time. it started right about the time Mich made a radical feminist their AD. Hmm..
A big rivalry that is dead was Nebraska v. OU.
Agreed re Cal v Stanford should be on the list, however Army/Navy should be #1
I don't think that the list includes junior colleges.
I remember the game with Aikman v. Peete.
