While some have been standing for decades, other college football traditions are just getting started. No matter what, it's these wacky and wild rituals and customs that make the game that much more fun to watch. In honor of the 150th anniversary of college football, we ranked the sport's greatest traditions.

It's amazing they banned Dixieland Delight after a lot of Bama fans made it a bit vulgar, but they still have the band itself play the Ole Miss Song (what we today call Rammer Jammer) when it's the most audacious song probably sung by college football fans (which I love by the way). :)
Tradition triva: did you know that the Million Dollar Band's drum major still signals to the band that it's time to play Rammer Jammer by drawing his hand out in a large letter "O" shape? That's because it was called the "Ole Miss song" by the band members whenever they'd play Hotty Totty (a song they copied from Ole Miss when one of the band members or leaders moved to Alabama, that we later added words to and sing it as Rammer Jammer).
Oh, the irony of a Moo U fan calling Bama fans rednecks. One cannot get any more inbred than Starkpatch High and the trailer park capital of the world.
Luckily, Bama fans dont experience many losses. That is a Moo U tradition.
Its absolutely hilarious how triggered you became, just because I dared to question the double standards of the SEC and the special treatment of Moo U and your cowbells.
You must admit that cowbells, themselves, is a redneck tradition.
I suggest you lay off the drugs that make you so hostile and easily triggered.
Bammer fans buy their gear at Dollar General. Most Bammer fans can't spell Tuscaloosa, much less know where it is.
And trailer parks?
I am an alumni of the World Renown Florida State University Marching Chiefs. We did a couple of road trips a year. One of them was to LSU in 1982. It was my last road trip. The good part was we partied in the French Quarter of NO the night before the game. The bad part was the seriously obnoxious LSU fans.
The BEST fans, by far, that we visited were the Buckeyes. They enthusiastically cheered us after our halftime show, we were invited to their pre-game warm up/pep rally, and afterward we received a huge duffel bag of thank you notes from the great people of OSU. That was after we beat them. THAT was class!

LMAO. A fan of a redneck, academically inferior high school calling Bama fans is hilarious and ironic.
Moo U inbreds are some of the most obnoxious, violent and arrogant creatures one can find. Michigan fans discovered that during a bowl game against your dirty little team and they remarked on how ignorant, uncivilized and what hillbillies Moo U fans were. They were shocked at the behavior of Moo U fans. I wasnt.
You need emotional help. Seriously. I post something benign about your sainted, redneck cowbells and you fly into an psychotic rage.
I must thank you for proving my point that Moo U is a cult, not a school. Your childish, triggered, over the top fit of rage proves me right.
You, like the other losers of this pathetic conference, are psychotically obsessed with all things Bama. Jealousy is such an ugly thing.
BTW, The University of Alabama is regularly ranked in the top 50, academically, of American Public Universities. Moo U is not.
Again, thanks for the entertainment and making a complete fool of yourself:) But, what can one expect of someone who belongs to an inbred cult?
Roll Damn Tide and Hotty Toddy!
Tahd and Rebel fans are morally, spiritually, intellectually, and genetically inferior.
