What he said makes sense if you assume nuclear weapons (or maybe aerial bombardment by conventional weapons), in which case the bodies would be vaporized or exploded. I suspect people are taking what Brzezinski said out of context.
Of note is that this conflict, this struggle, this war, if you will - is spiritual in nature.
For those who are born again in Jesus Christ - (not all here, but some), there exist spiritual weapons the adversary has attempted to hide for many years, and has largely been successful. In this case, I speak of the ability of Christians to Bind and Loose - specifically to bind evil spirit powers operating in this world and our lives, and also to loose the spirits of God to assist and minister to us, and to those we desire to help.
