I’m not ready to make a deal,” Trump told reporters at the White House before his departure for fundraising events in New York.“China wants to settle this deal. They’ve had the worst year that they’ve had in many, many decades and it’s getting only worse. Thousands of companies are leaving China,” he said.

The trade war is BS. A $30B annual tariff is hardly much of an escalation in the ‘war’. What is dangerous is all the misplaced hype about it.

USA's exports are only 1.5T/22T or 7% of GDP. Even if a "world wide global slowdown" of 10% were to happen because of the < propaganda type=globalist > trade war < /propaganda >, it would only reduce the USA's GDP by tiny amount or about 1/10 of 7% or .7% of GDP. This is not a catastrophe. Imports would be unaffected in a slowdown.
93% of the US economy is domestic including what we produce foe exportation ( a tiny part of GDP = 7% ).

I tell folks often, We have witnessed the greatest transfer of wealth in world history. The wealth of the American middle class to the communist Chinese government. All sold as free trade.

The Russia Collusion to elect Trump was a total fake.
What is real is a Chinese collusion to elect someone that isn’t Trump. Including, but not limited to, an attempt to bring on a stock market crash and recession before the election.
He needs to drive the dagger in. The deal that was negotiated and which we agreed to is now dead. We have to get more concessions for their jacking us around. And if they refuse, as Trump has already said, the deal they will get after 2020 will be so much worse. Talking end of the Soviet Union worse. Go ahead, Xi, take the chance.
For a start, they need to pull their crap off of those man-made islands in the Pacific.
