FULL TITLE: Video captures Alabama homeowner pulling a gun on a would-be burglar after he caught the man trying to break in
An Alabama homeowner surprised a would-be burglar with a gun after catching the man trying to break in.
Surveillance video from a home in McCalla - about 20 miles from Birmingham - captured a man in a red shirt and jeans open the gate of a home on the 3500 block of Batton Road on Tuesday around 6pm.
The man lingers by the gate for a few seconds before crossing the porch, opening the storm door and attempting to enter.
But he's shocked when the owner, Shelby Tucker, rushes towards him, holding a gun - and the suspect runs into the woods.
Tucker's wife, Paula Brasher Tucker, shared details of the incident in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
She said that when she first heard someone at the door, she thought it was a UPS delivery driver.
'I seen they were coming through the gate and went to lock [our dog] Lola in her crate do she wouldn't run out and attack,' she wrote.

On UK news? Wow.
The dude can’t be all bad. He made sure to secure the gate.
What happened to his pants??? Did they pants on the ground fall off or were they soiled after having a gun pointed at him?
dude looked inebriated walking up the steps, but sobered up quickly in a 9mm second...
The guy should have kept the gun trained on him while his wife called the sheriff.
After that video runs, the next one is

Where is the man with the horse? Florida, of course.
Weird that the homeowner let the perp go free.
In the video, the homeowner kept pointing in the direction he wanted to perp to head instead of telling him to get on the ground.
Makes me wonder if the two knew each other.
