The employee was pregnant, and scared that the stress was negatively affecting her baby

Yeah, sure, as if, whatever. If she were that "scared", she would have walked out right then instead of waiting until after she got her paid vacation through maternity leave. As much as I don't like google, they moved her to another department and she still whined and complained and didn't get her job done.

The spring weeds were overrunning the yard in the house we bought at the beginning of last year, so I answered an ad in the paper for “gardening, house cleaning, interior painting, errands.” A young woman in her mid 30s showed up at my door, seven months pregnant, with her four year old daughter in tow. I thought to myself “Hoo boy, I’m not sure this is going to work, but she drove over, so the least I can do is give her a try.”

Wow, she has been the hardest and best garden worker and house cleaner I’ve ever hired. She continued to help me with gardening up until two weeks ago and had her baby the day before yesterday. She credited my yard work for keeping her in shape during her pregnancy (LOL)!

We did a lot of work together and became fast friends. I visited her in the hospital yesterday and got to hold her newborn for a while, the cutest little baby girl ever. That was an extra special thrill for me. I told her it was like having my first grandchild (we don’t have any grandkids of our own yet).

I’ve not had a pregnant woman work for me before in the office or around the house, but this was a wonderful experience and, based on that, I would never discriminate against a pregnant woman. I don’t know that I’ve ever had a better garden helper and house cleaner.

Use ALinsky’s tactics. Make the Left own up to their own principles and raise hell when they don’t.
