Socialism does not mean government owns everything, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez explained earlier this summer during an Instagram live stream....
Three months prior to Ocasio-Cortezs declaration, a Harris Poll provided exclusively to Axios showed that 61% of Americans ages 18 to 24 have a positive reaction to the word socialism, while 58% responded similarly to the word capitalism. Conversely, only 27% of people age 65 and older had a positive reaction to the word that most of them still associate with the Red Scare.
The poll also showed that millennials and Gen Zers are more likely than previous generations to accept socialistic policies and values. These younger generations, for example, overwhelmingly believe that government should provide universal health care and tuition-free college. Half of millennials and Gen Zers claim they would prefer living in a socialist country.
In response to this trend, economists Robert Lawson and Benjamin Powell recently discussed their new book, Socialism Sucks: Two Economists Drink Their Way Through the Unfree World, at the Cato Institute. Powell said its not surprising that socialism is popular now in the United States, though he added that this favorability comes from an illusion.
Much of Americas youth, Powell continued, has been led into a state of confusion by Sen. Bernie Sanders, who has repeatedly cited Nordic countries as examples of socialism. When you hear Bernie and others say this, they dont mean real socialism in the way that Bob and I defined the term of the government owning most of the means of production, Powell said. However, Bernie and AOC and the rest of them do want to march you down the road of serfdom
moving to Medicare for All.

Sorry the children are simply being warped by commie and commie sympathizer academics who WONT tell them the truth about REAL socialism which has become neo-communism even in the US.
Socialist countries now recoiling from the damage socialism has brought upon their countries will be purposefully ignored.
They are simply told cherry picked examples : ‘Look at all these freebies and great shit the people of THOSE countries get under “socialism”’ and then total avoidance/silence about of the socialpolitical evils now perpetrated in those same countries.
The kids are NOT told HOW we (in America) got what we have in OUR country (What they are inheriting — as most don’t work yet and some even have parents who have NEVER WORKED).
They need to be told that there IS NOT any such thing as the “Free Lunch” that puppets like AOC and Bernie spew day after day and is heard by these ignorance-engineered children.
I like my childrens version. If you need money, you go to the ATM and ask, and they give you money. Seems logical, no?
I just call Socialism: Slow-Motion Communism.
“...61% of Americans ages 18 to 24 have a positive reaction to the word ‘socialism,’ and four more years’ worth of them will have reached voting age between 2016 and 2020.”
These kids hear the word “socialism” and since they are all in love with “SOCIAL MEDIA”, they think anything with “SOCIAL” in it is GREAT!
No gun ownership
Free medical care
Mandated haircut styles for men
Government provided job
You're told what to think, when to think and how to think
Why do you think that Hillary et al. selected Russia as the means to try to discredit Trump? The DemocRATs have always poo-pooed legitimate concerns about the USSR, and they know that we remain concerned about the policies the USSR practiced. Thus, when it came time to personally discredit Trump, and the usual tactic of dragging someone out to say he sexually assaulted her 40 years ago didnt work, they came up with the idea of saying that Trump colluded with Russia. Why not... Hillary was already bought and paid for by Russia, its not like they had to use much imagination here.
Naw. They need experience with several different forms of socialism. None of them are good.
