BAD ASS! And actually not a bad price when compared to a new, fully loaded, diesel 4x4 pickup.
Ping.
Or a Ferrari with less horsepower
hmmm. I may have to upgrade. Only running 710 hp now.
The engine is hand-built at a Michigan factory and comes with unique pistons and other parts. It can crank out 625 foot-pounds of torque, a measure of rotational force.

625 foot-pounds of torque definitely not designed for that Detroit area commute in January.
My guess 760hp at 6200-6400 RPM.
And its sticker price is less than $74K.
No doubt with a limiter set for a blistering 72mph max. Really, 10 horsepower is all anyone nee.....oh. Wrong story line.
Previous articles indicated a dual-clutch transmission, not an automatic.
I want mine with nitrous oxide.
“Ford says it hasn’t finished fuel economy tests.”
They’ve got to work out the on-the-road-while-driving refueling system.
Handle it but for how long?
The power difference between normal and foot to the floor is so big you can never have a happy midpoint. My guess if you really get on it once every 3 weeks it will last 40k/50k miles before a $8000+ repair.
paging Leno, Jay Leno
Street legal at 760 hp.
Exactly what street is this safe to step on the gas pedal?
To. quote the gun control people....” No one needs that.....”
Congress needs to ban all cars with greater than 50 HP per ton of weight.
Th mid engine vette is a little less in $$$$. Worth a look.
How many will be totalled within an hour of leaving the dealer’s lot?
Man, these are the good old days. It seemed like the end of the world and cars would never be exciting again, back in the 1980s when RWD was on the ropes and all Cadillacs had FWD, the Mustang’s Probe replacement was FWD, and all engines were detuned to nothing and there was the Buick Grand National and nothing else fast on the road, it looked like it was all over, never to surface again.
Insurance costs and air pollution devices almost killed off everything worth driving.
Who could see this coming? I mean, 700 HP cars and the insurance costs aren’t outrageous on them.
These are the good old days, my friends. What an era. My 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT is about the best car I’ve ever owned. No, I’m sure it is the best car I’ve ever owned.
Clearly meant to compete with the Dodge Hellcat horsepower. Price is similar so its just a matter of taste which style ponycar one likes. The Hellcat and wide body Hellcat and Demon have been out for a while now. There have been some Shelby 1000 or close to 1000 hp versions of the Mustang but maybe they weren’t street legal or something.
