Re> Time to go to parking lots and show our disdain for those thieves.

The Chinese could care less how many people go to some parking lot? I will just not buy their junk. That is the ONLY way to hurt them.

A demonstration? Why not roll out the comfy chair?

A better approach is just keep ratcheting up the tariffs until the trade deficit falls to zero. If China wants to quit buying US agg products, fine, up goes more tariffs.

Tariffs don’t require individuals to act against their best interests when their immediate best interests diverge from national interests.

Tariffs don’t care whether China buys from us or not. They make it more and more expensive for China to sell into our market.

Tariffs can be imposed gradually, minimizing market impacts.

Make a bed sheet with that quote.

I don't know how to make a bed sheet.

I assume there is some textile - looming process.

I have been trying to NOT buy anything made in China for the past 6 months. The problem is that sometimes there is no other choice. For example, most power tools(Milwaukee cordless drill). All the other major brands: Porter Cable, Rigid, Dewalt, were all made in China. At least at Home Depot.

However, I just bought my first battery operated outdoor tool. A Stihl hedge trimmer. Made in Austria. Even the battery was made in Germany. This is the first non gasoline outdoor power tool. I would highly recommend it. I bought the upgrade battery. I trimmed every bush in the yard and the battery still had available charge left after 2+ hours of use.

With clothes you can now find many items not made in China.
My most recent purchases were made in Vietnam(Wrangler cargo shorts), Dominican Republic(Hanes underware), Mexico(Wrangler jeans) and USA(white socks).

I went to my local lumber yard. I bought two 1x8’s PVC boards to replace some fascia on my house. The boards were made in the USA. The screws came from Taiwan. The caulk came from the Mexico.

I don’t care if the Chinese rip off Microsoft.
In fact I am glad to hear that they are!
Microsoft ripped me off for many years until I dumped them and went to Linux. I have not regretted it ever!

It was time 15 and 20 years ago. Most Dems have figured out how to actually sell IP to the Chinese. Billy Clinton and Bernie Schwartz from LORAL started the ball rolling in 1992.

I was just thinking that I need a shirt that says “If it’s made in China, I don’t need it.”

A previous thread had a story about how the Government run schools in China are teaching kids that Christianity is evil and they need to turn in their parents if they are Christians.

didn’t see this and tried to start my own thread

Where is the patriotic movement to stop buying “made in China”? (vanity)

For decades the Uniparty has let China get away with murder...Now we finally have someone standing up to them..

Yet I see nothing on social media or other places about a national movement to help Trump win the war against China

Is there a website or twitter page I’m missing? I type in “buy made in USA” in twitter and get very few results

Imagine if we ever get into a shooting war with them and alot of our military computer parts and rare earths metals are blocked?
Also if we ate more meat as a country that would help out farmers( more cows..more feed grain demand etc)

We need a buy in the USA and/or avoid Buy in China movement...and it needs to go viral

I always make an effort to Buy American as my first choice. Would be great to hear Trump repeat his Buy American, Hire American meme more often. It needs repeating.

I don’t care about Micro$oft and would rather see a post in favor of buying real American products.

I go out of my way to avoid buying Chinese stuff!

Been boycotting China for years!

To little effect, apparently.

This is easy.

Want to hurt China? Then stop buying their crap at Wal Mart, Costco, and Amazon.

Make a conscious choice not to buy from China.

You can do it.
