Commerce City police: Real estate agent shoots at knife-wielding man during an open house showing
Police in Commerce City are investigating an incident after police say a female realtor shot at a man who was trying to rob her at knife-point during an open house event Sunday morning.
It happened around 11:30 a.m. inside a home 14700 block of E. 104th Avenue in Commerce City. The would-be robber took off after the shooting and has not been located, police say. (excerpt)

Sunday morning at 11:30am? Should have been in church.
For one thing, Sunday is 95% of the open house events.
For another, many churches have very different service times.
There was a woman real estate agent that was raped and murdered a few years back in the Dallas area in similar circumstances. I hope any person showing a house by themselves is armed and has a C & C license. A few more animal control events like this one will give them pause for thought.
I remember that. I’m sure this woman’s family is glad she had a gun.

That might have been the one I saw on "Inestigation Discovery" a while back. The perp called up a female agent to meet him at a house for sale. She shows up with her husband and the perp backs off. Calls another one who comes alone and then rapes and murders her.
that was the one...I saw it on Forensic Files. The sick bastard managed to bite her (and a few others), and that is how they caught him. I hope his fellow inmates gave him a little ‘jail house’ love.
