WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday called on lawmakers to pass strong gun background checks after two mass shootings over the weekend killed 29 people and sought to blame the nation’s rising violence and divisions on the media.Trump, who is scheduled to deliver public remarks later on Monday following the attacks, appeared to dismiss accusations following the two shootings in Texas and Ohio that his rhetoric has stoked racial hatred and provoked attacks amid a deepening political divide. On Saturday, a gunman killed 20 people at a Walmart store in El Paso, Texas, in what authorities said appeared to be a racially-motivated hate crime. Just 13 hours later, another gunman in downtown Dayton, Ohio, killed nine people. Dozens were also wounded in both attacks.

Bull shit. What, was he checking each persons ethnicity before shooting them? Hell no...he was shooting indiscriminately.
I hope it’s just rhetoric, because I don’t want him caving but there are no other good options for next election cycle.
The leftist have Graham and Crenshaw for cover, do not bet your farm the the Senate will not pass something. If it includes Red Flag laws and Trump signs it, I am done with him. I suspect he has painted himself in a corner on this now and will be forced to sign whatever they send him. So my second cousin who lives 1500 miles from me can call the Feds and claim I am a threat to myself and others and I have guns. The Sheriffs show-up and try to take them. Similar $hit has already happened in States with those laws. Trump better be careful, God, Family and Guns come before voting for him.
Guns are only an issue because the democRATS want to ban guns and confiscate them from all law-abiding citizens.
Guns are not the issue in these mass shootings. It's the mental illness of the perpetrators.
And I might add, racism is not the issue either. That's another red herring the Left throws out there to be the blame for everything nowadays.
I’m hoping you are correct.The democrats/communists are tap dancing on the coffins, like they always do after a tragedy, and want to punish everyone who had nothing to do with it.

Recently, a few states have mandated signs saying, “In God we trust”, in all schools. Maybe this is the beginning of a trend that will begin lifting America out of its current evil place.
