I’ve got a better idea, JAG. Take the Cumbres and Toltec instead. I made the mistake of taking the D&S AFTER I’d taken the C&T. Kind of a letdown.
Wow. I could’ve written the exact same thing. Just last year I took the Cumbres and Toltec trip then two days later rode the Durango and Silverton railroad. Both are very good. No doubt. But if you can only ride one steam locomotive train in Colorado; ride the Cumbres and Toltec.
That one is on my list also!
