Yes. It landed at Love Field, which is a few miles north of downtown, where all the jails and courts are located. I thought it was strange that it landed there instead of DFW, but DFW is quite a ways from downtown. If he was in custody, they’d want to get him processed in the shortest time possible. 6 miles vs. 21 miles.

I’ve been thinking about Earl Warren. LBJ badgered (or perhaps “leveraged”) the Chief Justice into fronting for an inquiry into the events in Dallas. The reference frame the commission used was J. Edgar’s theory on LHO’s motives and all evidence was provided by the FBI.
Very possible. My thought on Warren is similar. Since barely a year had passed since the Cuban Missile Crisis, all LBJ had to tell Warren was,
“This is Top Secret, but we believe the assassin was affiliated with Castro. If the American people find out that Cuba - or even the Soviets - were behind the assassination, we’ll have WWIII on our hands. It is horrible, but in this case it’s better to lose a President than to lose 100 million Americans. We’ll mete out retribution in our own way in our own time. Do I have your support?”

DOJ To Release Bruce Ohr Documents ‘Imminently’

The Justice Department will release FBI documents early next week that are related to Bruce Ohr, the Justice Department official who met with dossier author Christopher Steele.
In a court filing submitted last Thursday, Justice Department lawyers said the agency will provide FBI notes of interviews conducted with Ohr to Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group that sued for the records last year.
Justice Department lawyers said the agency had initially determined that the Ohr transcripts, known as 302s, should be withheld in full. But “after further review in conjunction with DOJ’s preparation of its motion for summary judgment, DOJ has decided to release the requested records in part to Plaintiff,” the lawyers said.
“DOJ will make this release to Plaintiff by August 5, 2019.”
It is not clear what documents will be released and which might be withheld. Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton announced Thursday night that the documents would be released “imminently.”

Good to remember, since it seems like evil is everywhere. If the evil are fewer than we think, that would mean many are leveraged. Once they are freed, will they have learned their lessons? Could we ever trust them?

Rep. Will Hurd (R-Texas), the only African American Republican in the House of Representatives, announced Thursday night that he will not seek reelection in 2020.
Hurd’s abrupt decision to not seek reelection comes amid a period of flux inside the Republican Party. He becomes the sixth GOP lawmaker and third House Republican from Texas to announce his retirement in the past two weeks.
Sure are a lot of congresscritters announcing retirement lately.
