Why so callous this morning?
Just ban all cars in New York.
Because I’m tired of being lectured on pronouns by crazy people. I’m totally fine if these people die off, by accident or otherwise. The world does not need them and they do no good being part of it.
No really they don’t. Normal people will go on with their lives just the same whether this did or did not happen.
Riding a bike in NYC traffic is a bid for a Darwin Award to begin with. We got another winnah.

Because people on bikes aren't actual people, right? They're just an annoyance to you, and as such deserve to die, right?

So take your virtue signaling garbage about human refuse that can’t figure out its own pronouns being tragically killed riding a bike in traffic because it was probably thinking more about its goddamn pronouns than it was about the safety of itself or others and insert it into your nethers.
Move the bike lane so it is between moving Lanes of traffic. Move cars over closer to the parking lane so car doors open into traffic. Then dooring would not happen.

i have seen a few short sections like that at major intersections in Berlin. But I don’t think it would work over all the way cars like switching lanes.
NYC is an obstacle course. I’ve been accidentally bumped into and shoved many times just walking the streets. Have to be at peak alertness all the time there plus sensory overload factor . NYC annoys me just walking its streets. Crazy traffic and some bicyclists are too aggressive riders for that whirlwind environment.
Horns must be honking all day and night from what I’ve seen of Fire Island...
They are going to need walking lanes haha!
In NYC, people do have OPTIONS, they can take ‘mass transit’ as they call it, anywhere. And it’s not like Baltimore, where you put your life on the line (at least if you avoid late night). NYC also has lots have health clubs, some with stationary bicycles.
No need to run around cutting off cars.
Literally bikes are more difficult to see in a busy urban environment.
Many “spandex boys” are arrogant and could care less there are 100 cars following them st 10 mph!
