When it comes to motherhood, former First Lady Michelle Obama has one piece of advice for Meghan Markle: Savour it all.
Meghan, who welcomed son Archie Harrison in May, said she was left somewhat speechless when the questions she sent Obama to answer for the back page of British Vogues September issue (which Meghan guest-edited!) were returned as a thoughtful, reflective and beautifully curated narrative a gentle reminder not of how but of why she has become such a globally respected public figure.
Meghan revealed that the two women discussed the project over a casual lunch of chicken tacos and my ever-burgeoning bump. And the final result includes a lot of compelling parenting advice for the new royal mom.

The former first lady goes on to explain the differences in her two daughters, 21-year-old Malia and 18-year-old Sasha.
Motherhood has taught me that, most of the time, my job is to give them the space to explore and develop into the people they want to be. Not who I want them to be or who I wish I was at that age, but who they are, deep inside, she said. Motherhood has also taught me that my job is not to bulldoze a path for them in an effort to eliminate all possible adversity. But instead, I need to be a safe and consistent place for them to land when they inevitably fail; and to show them, again and again, how to get up on their own.

Dont worry. Its just a media created fantasy. Means absolutely nothing. Even to the people who think it does.
Gag me.
People magazine is doing its best to keep the slobbering worship of Michelle going until her inevitable run for the Democrat nomination in 2024.
Reading slop like this while watching the USA die is a terrible punishment for our apathy.
I’m a fan of neither of them. But is refreshing to see something good said by Michelle. I detest her otherwise, but motherhood and the knowledge we gain from nurturing our children is priceless.
Bet you live in Austin.
Michelle Obama Just Gave Meghan Markle Advice on Being a New Mom and It Left Her ‘Speechless’
“Try to Get Some Sleep.”
All Hail Michelle!
I wouldn’t be too quick to assume that Michelle isn’t just blowing some words out of her ... that she thinks will sound good for the magazine.
And how “real” is the parenting experience for members of the British Royal Family or for those living in the White House of 8 years?
Ah, the sisterhood in full blossom.....
“Its just a media created fantasy.”
I hope you are right. I want to look at it as yet another show of the media’s hate for Trump by shunning Melania for this...beast in a boob belt.
Meghan wont raise her own kid either. They have nannies for that. And yeah, its supper easy to savor every minute when you dont have to do any of the hard stuff.
Did the advice detail how to tuck it though?
Its just like the contrived numbers saying plugs would beat President Trump.
One highly suspects that Moochelle's peeps decided that she needed some flattering ink, so they wrote this for her.
Neither Moochelle nor her alleged husband, what's-his-name, ever struck me as being that much "into" parenthood, and by my guess they savored more ruling class luxuries and perquisites than anything to do with their children.
.
She is running in 2020
What would Chewbacca know about raising daughters, she gave that highly-paid job to Grandma Chewbacca.
It's not terrible advice. Why does everyone feel the need to throw hate on a simple parenting quote? Are you all turning into Liberals?
I think they have very different bumps.
I heard it was fried chicken and watermelon.
