Teenage climate change activist Greta Thunberg plans to take her message to the United States - but instead of flying, she's going to set sail across the Atlantic after shunning planes.
The Swedish teenager, who inspired tens of thousands of school students across the world to skip class for a day to protest for faster action against climate change, said she spent months trying to figure out how to travel to the US without flying on a plane. She said she has ruled out using them due to their high greenhouse gas emissions.
The 16-year-old tweeted that she plans to leave Britain in August aboard the Malizia II to attend the United Nations climate summits in New York in September and Santiago, Chile, in December.

A few days ago someone posted an article here about how a Somali woman who’d emigrated to the U. S. went back to Somalia to produce photo essays about what a great country it was. She, her husband, and unborn child lasted about six weeks before a Mudslime terrorist blew them up. Looks like sweet young Greta’s tempting Mother Nature the same way by setting sail into the northern Atlantic during hurricane season. Be a real shame if she won a Darwin Award.

Think we could start a thread on when she will ultimately call for help or lose all contact with her handlers, never to be heard from again?
Is she going to follow up her ocean voyage with a bike tour through Syria?

I have a 16 year old son. He’s well above average in intelligence, probably at least as smart as this silly little girl. I’m not listening to a 16 year old about much of anything.
Little dumbass. She’s too “green” to fly?! I guess that means no paper products on the boat? No TP, paper towels, nothing made of wood. Don’t want to kill a tree.
We are going to see on the drive-by media about a "tragic accident" where she has fallen overboard.
Then, there will be a Greta Thunberg Memorial Climate Change Fund that good liberals can donate to help fight Globull Warming.
Another scenario I see is she gets sea sick so bad they risk plucking her off with a helicopter.

If any technology could actually disrupt the atmosphere and cause some sort of environmental catastrophe, I presume it would be high-altitude jet transport aircraft.
Like watch the Tour de France bike race will a few thousand cars, trucks, motorcycles and aircraft following them.
