Do mosquito have any positive ecological value?
If there were a legit way to wipe them out permanently, I’d say go.
Of course, no matter what plan anyone concocts, even attacking their genome, there will always be a mutation that leads to a more resistant strain.
They are food for bats. But I think we’re still at square one with that new statement.

They pollinate some small flowers, which i could probably do without.
Mosquitos have no ecological value besides being on the menu for some birds (Purple Martins, swallows, ducks,a nd geese), and some fish that efficiently cull mosquito larvae populations in open fresh water bodies.
Other than that, I don’t think mosquitoes serve any useful purpose, like say BEES do.
Many animals eat them, both as adults and as larvae. the only time they need to bite us is when the female is about to lay eggs. They cannot synthesize the protein necessary to do so, so they drink blood to get it.
