When Sonia E. Wilson went to get a pedicure on the Fourth of July, she didnt expect to wait at her neighborhood salon, figuring most women had rushed to get their nails done before the holiday.
Women werent the problem. The Brooklyn, N.Y., salon was packed with men.
Ms. Wilson learned she was fourth in line after three menall having pedicures. I dont mind men stepping up their grooming, said Ms. Wilson, a development officer at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn. But I cant say I was happy to wait close to an hour while three of them were ahead of me. I gave them the side-eye.

No nail polish.. Just 6-months of calluses gone...
I think I’ve had the same medication. They do check your liver function since there can be side-effects if it is not healthy. Amazing drug. It directly targets metabolic pathways for fungi, which are biologically different from us so it is highly specialized to target. It’s like a medical cruise missile.
Ok, that and a good full body massage I can understand. :)
I got toenail fungus about the same age as you. My doc said that, because I had Hep A in my 20s, he couldn’t run the risk of damaging my liver. He recently said a daily application of apple cider vinegar actually works to eradicate it, but I haven’t tried it yet.
For those of you that don’t want to do the meds, I have an old folky type remedy that has worked for me. My wife read it on the Pinterest so it has to work (in this case it has so far).
I started putting Vicks Vapo Rub on my two bad big toenails about a month ago. One of the nails is almost completely cleared up and the other one is way better. I just slather it on there with a Q-tip right before bed each night, making sure to get it underneath the end of the toe where the nail grows over and all around the edges of the nail bed. I have tried a couple of different meds for toe fungus that my wife bought from the beauty supply places but the Vicks has absolutely worked best for me. Your mileage may vary.
I was questioning the feet. Certainly not going to question your manhood. Nope.
I accomplish that by walking barefoot on the beach (in the surf). Amazing what saltwater and silica abrasive grit can do.
You know I’m just a redneck woman-and that is not my idea of a man-sounds like stuff metrosexual wusses do-not the muy macho guys I like...
The salon probably doesn’t have a pair of diagonal pliers, which is what I need to cut my toenails.
