Various sci-fi authors are facing page deletions on Wikipedia after various Left-wing editors nominated the pages for deletion on the grounds of the authors not being notable, or for their fanbase being bigoted, and racist, and filled with hatred. Theres currently a battleground on the author pages of Wikipedia where certain editors are attempting to erase an internet checkpoint for the authors due to disliking what little theyve gleaned of their politics.

In 1984, Winston Smith’s job . . . “is to literally rewrite history, revising old newspaper articles so they’re in line with the Party’s current vision of the truth. The original articles are tossed in an incinerator, never to be seen again.”
Once again, the globalist left is using 1984 as a blueprint rather than understanding that it was meant as a warning.

The total lack of awareness of these young Fascist is astounding.
Perhaps if they took the time to read a book rather then “burning” them they might become educated.
Wikipedia: a new Socialist encyclopedia, just like they used to have in the Soviet Union.
I knew Wikipedia could be bad, but I see its rotten to the core.
Once they get into the habit of deleting authors they dont like, theyll find a weak excuse to sack Heinlein.
For reasons I cant quite figure out, Heinlein is not at all liked by readers under 40.
“Welcome, my son,
welcome to the machine.
What did you dream?
It’s alright, we told you what to dream”
I liked him when i was a 3rd grader, but that was a long time ago...
Who cares, no one should be using Wikipedia anyway.
I would say they are totally aware of how to achieve power by seizing the narrative through education and control of communication technology (social media).
Perhaps if they took the time to read a book rather then burning them they might become educated.
To the Young Fascists eduction is anathema, ignorance is virtue
I have never read Heinlein. I don’t care for sci fi, but I have always wanted to check him out. What do you recommend for a first, and possibly only read, of his?
Pure leftist garbage. There was a reason it became a hippy icon.
Heinlein is too big to delete. If they took him down it would hit the fan.
If you want to read a short book, Starship Troopers.
He wrote a lot of great juvenile fiction that punches way over its weight. Troopers started as one of those but was rejected by his publisher, so he had printed as an adult novel by another publisher.
If you want to read what I think is his opus, The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress.
The Moon will throw you some curves about relationships. Dont let them distract you or put you off. Please stay with it for the sake of the overall message.
I found both to be fascinating reads and hard to put down. Troopers I read three different times over three different decades and found something new to take away each time.
Some might suggest Stranger In A Strange Land. It was huge in the 60s, but I dont suggest it as the first thing from him to read. It might be more enjoyable after reading The Moon, if you enjoy that.
Never. And I mean never have I heard of natural gas referred to as "fossil gas".
Try Starship Troopers. Unlike the movie, it is a utopian novel about a civilization in which the only path to citizenship is through military service. Since political power is held solely by those who have proven their willingness to risk all for the common good, the government is rational and responsible. Also, its a great story about the fight to save humanity from an implacable alien race.
Thanks so much. Had no idea he did “Stranger in a Strange Land.” My parents had a copy of that. Old hippies ; )
