Nope. Not happening. Free Republic is full of traditionalists, and one of our traditions is not reading the article before commenting.
I’d say it’s quite shocking to get assaulted while watering one’s lawn.
Yeah, that is one case I’d like to get called in for jury duty on. I’d keep my opinions to myself during questioning, to ensure I got selected. I’d listen to the evidence and the instructions...but any kind of conviction would be a long, long uphill battle for the prosecution.
Having now WATCHED the video, these two idiots are either:
1. High
2. Idiots
3. Democrats
Maybe all three. The homeowner actually was OPEN-CARRYING when these two dimbulbs tried to rob him.
Darwinism at work. they were too stupid to see the pistol on is hip?
In a sane world they would check out his gun to make sure it is shooting straight and send him for more target practice then give him another go at the hoodlum. Maybe he could kill him the second time.
Tulsa is a crazy place. They need another riot centered in the Peoria area.
NOT guilty.
NUTHIN’ screams, “Get off my lawn” more than this.
None of the three articles I read said the same thing. I’m not searching any more. They also never showed a picture of the 20 year old.
One article said three perps, one said four.
One ran away, one sauntered. I never saw the third.
One article said two entered a back yard, another said one.
One article said it was daylight the other said night.
One article said the perps fled when confronted by the cops, another said they fled then were later apprehended after a chase.
More Okie excellence I guess.
Shouldn’t the shocking moment be when the “teenagers” attacked an innocent homeowner????
Bicycling today about 3 PM on a side street I noticed one of our residents was wearing a holster on his belt ... I nodded, said hello and kept on going ...
Too bad he didn’t kill all of them.
Sounds like folks in Tulsa need to party like it was 1921.
Maybe more drawing practice, too. When he pulls his pistol, it looks like the holster comes with it. He then quickly removes it from the drawn gun with his left hand and throws it to the ground.
Cook was morally right in shooting the robber if not legally right.
In a perfect world all the perps would be at the morgue being identified by their remains.

Worse than the New York City riots of 1863 where troops fresh off the battlefield of Gettysburg were called in and fired on the mobs to bring an end to it?
Both lead by Democrats.
That's the way I'd write it. Of course a Brit news source like the Daily Mail is going to play the anti-gun card at every opportunity. Seems to be solely their headline, not copied from a more local article.
No, typical "journalist" excellence, not just Oklahoma.
