or based on your comment history did they think you were a russian bot...
Congrats. Think of all the extra time you will have now. :)
They just hit my Cousin for the same reason, he was using other than his real name.
Sounds like a Database issue to me as they are struggling to identify and get hold of data from whom as they are facing some stiff fines for data management and deletion like GDPR and other standards.
What is tells me is that they have more about you than you realize
Count yourself lucky. Facebook is toxic, and bad for mental health.
No worries mate. I got even with them. I terminated their account.
Make a new account. I have two Facebook accounts. One has been in jail for the past thirty days, but just got our. I use my other account when I’m in jail.
Truth spreading now allowed there.
Their excuse was that I posted a few photos of ISIS atrocities, though the same photos had been posted a number of times before, by me and others.
Their real reason is that I am an ardent supporter of President Trump and am also very well educated, sophisticated, highly intelligent, worldly, and strongly opposed to racism, cruelty, and injustice, and a highly evolved soul, i.e. the antithesis of the false and ugly image of President Trump's supporters that Big Brother's henchmen try so hard to project. They simply couldn't allow its controversial by the TRUTH of my persona.
Big Brother's henchpersons hate TRUTH.
Go out and celebrate.
There are no Friends, no Photos, no Timeline, no About not anything on my page except my birthday, which is listed as 2/3/1905.
I never do anything on the site or change things on it. FB has never contacted me about it ever.
Here's my profile picture that I use:
I also have an alternate FB page I have to be able to Messenger a lady friend in private occasionally. I'm male but this FB page is of a female with a different name, email address and birthdate than my real name. I've had it for 5 years. The profile photo is a stock photo I pulled offline. I have nothing on it except one friend. FB has never bothered me about it either.
But what I don't do is post things or discuss politics on these pages. They are both just static pages for access only to other FB pages only.
If you are not posting bad stuff...just political then it is usually someone on your friends list reporting you.
If you have few or no friends on that account then they are shutting down those accounts as being fake. Very convenient.
Use a VPN and a throw-away email.
If you’d posted vulgar nasty stuff you’d be on Fakebook today
This is the Facebook Is Evil ping list.

Perhaps you'd like to celebrate your freedom from FB by joining this ping list? Just pm me if you do.
You should take it as an honor.
I had a Farcebook account a long time ago to monitor one of my kids. I never posted anything. Then one day I came to the aid of a small business owner who was being harassed by lefties. I didn’t say anything crude or threatening but they complained en mass about me to the mods.
Next thing I knew they suspended my account pending verification of my identity and for me to provide my phone number. I wasn’t willing to play that so I requested they close the account. They kept up the same demands so I got VERY obscene and insistent in my demands to close the account. Even at that it took over two months.
Same thing happened to me about 3 years ago. One possibility is that some marxist FB user saw one of my comments and reported me.
I use to post anti-islamic satire on Facebook all the time. Of course I collected death threats and hate filled screeds routinely as a result. In such an environment there was no way I would post except anonymously. The outraged members of Mad Moe’s mafia used that to get me banned. I called it Martyrdom and then came back with another fake name. I lost count after 13 martyrdom’s.
More than that...

As described below, we collect information from and about the computers, phones, connected TVs and other web-connected devices you use that integrate with our Products, and we combine this information across different devices you use. For example, we use information collected about your use of our Products on your phone to better personalize the content (including ads) or features you see when you use our Products on another device, such as your laptop or tablet, or to measure whether you took an action in response to an ad we showed you on your phone on a different device.
Information we obtain from these devices includes:
Device attributes: information such as the operating system, hardware and software versions, battery level, signal strength, available storage space, browser type, app and file names and types, and plugins.
Device operations: information about operations and behaviors performed on the device, such as whether a window is foregrounded or backgrounded, or mouse movements (which can help distinguish humans from bots).
Identifiers: unique identifiers, device IDs, and other identifiers, such as from games, apps or accounts you use, and Family Device IDs (or other identifiers unique to Facebook Company Products associated with the same device or account).
Device signals: Bluetooth signals, and information about nearby Wi-Fi access points, beacons, and cell towers.
Data from device settings: information you allow us to receive through device settings you turn on, such as access to your GPS location, camera or photos.
Network and connections: information such as the name of your mobile operator or ISP, language, time zone, mobile phone number, IP address, connection speed and, in some cases, information about other devices that are nearby or on your network, so we can do things like help you stream a video from your phone to your TV.

I too post conservative comments on Facebook, and also keep them clean and professional. Obviously the Left has reported on me too and a couple of times they told me that I needed to verify my email, which was real. My FB account was also real, with several dozen real ‘friends’.
I was never as fortunate as you, however, and my account still hasn’t been terminated.
