INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — A disturbing trend of food tampering in stores has hit central Indiana with a video showing two teens spitting into soda bottles.
Brittney Edwards posted the video to her Facebook page after she said a girl her daughter follows on Instagram posted it. Edwards said her daughter goes to school with one of the girls in the video.
The video has been shared more than 50 times and viewed by more than 2,000. Dozens of people have commented on it. Some call it disturbing, even stomach-turning.
The video shows two teens taking soda bottles from a store cooler. They open the bottles, spit in them, replace the caps and put the bottles back on the cooler rack.
"I'm like 'Are they spitting in there?'" said Edwards.
She said she first saw the video Monday.
"When I first saw it, it just made me disgusted because I'm pregnant," Edwards said.
The post comes on the heels of the recent "ice cream challenge" that went viral. It all started with video showing a teen girl licking a carton of ice cream in a store, then putting it back on the shelf.

Dumping water on cops, tampering with food etc all with no real consequences. Sure a few get caught but many more are emboldened and get away with anti-social behavior.
You could see stuff like this coming years ago. Flash mobs scare me the most. They are riots on cue.

Huh???She should take that video down to the police station and have those little blanks arrested. Bet her daughter has done the same since she hangs with them. Have her her darling daughter tell the cops where the video was taken or she loses all phone privileges for a month.
Mama should take a picnic lunch for those angels and tell them later she spit in all the food. Obviously, don't spit.
Seems this sort of behavior might make a case for caning. Of course the strokes can be varied to suit the seriousness of the crime, but I would think this might be a real deterrent. Yes, I know the lawyers are out there who want to make punishment relatively painless. I think we’ve seen how well that works.

Every time I was pregnant I went into hyper vigilant mode over every drop of food or beverage that I consumed. I think that’s why she said that-you are super protective of that little one inside you.
